When we first conceived of Blizzard, we had much more structure in mind than we had so far. Those of you who have been following us from the start might even remember when our website said you could find us on the first Thursday of every month. That went well.
When a show is very new, it’s understandable that a venue would want to see how well a show performs before committing to giving them prime real estate in the calendar on a regular basis. We’ve been at Gullivers since April now – so nearing six months – and we absolutely love it there. (Tip your bar staff, they’re good folks.)
We’re going to be there for the forseeable future, but unfortunately not yet with a whole lot of regularity.
By the end of the year, we will have averaged out at having done one show per month, so our Patrons will still technically get their money’s worth when it comes to the rewards we owe them.
However, we won’t actually be doing one show per month. Because we would never do anything so sensible or predictable as that.
Instead, we’ve got a bit of a jenky schedule coming up. We’re going to do our best not to do this forever, but we hope that the shows we put on in the meantime will be good enough that you’ll want to come along anyway.
We have shows planned out until the end of the year. We’ll publish the details closer to the time, as we have done so far.
In the interests of keeping you fully informed, this is our schedule as it stands:
Monday 30th September
Sunday 8th December
Thursday 19th December
We understand that this is a bit of a pain, but if you fancy setting aside those dates to come hang out with us, we’d for sure love to have you.
Being the incredibly popular and wonderful venue that it is, Gullivers doesn’t have room for us in October or November on a date that won’t clash with some other stellar comedy. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this will cause and promise we’ll do everything we can to make things a bit less bumpy in future.
Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us so far. We hope you’ll stick around over the next few months because we’re working on a lot of cool stuff for 2020.
