As well as moving into a more regular schedule in the New Year, we are also expanding Blizzard to take on new projects.
The first of these will be a special show dedicated to hosting full-length previews. On January 13th, we’re returning to Gullivers to showcase new shows from some of our favourite acts.
Harriet Dyer will be performing her new work-in-progress Mentally Fine. Jack Carroll and Pete Selwood are bringing a multi-media mix of sketches and stand-up in the form of their new show ImPAIRMENT.
Harriet Dyer: Mentally Fine (WIP)
Harriet Dyer (BBC3, BBC Live at The Fringe, BBC Radio 4, BBC Knock Knock, BBC Ouch, Absolute Radio) is an award winning comedian, mental health advocate and an experience to behold. Here doth lie quite the harrowing tale, but Harriet assures you – mentally, all is fine.
“Harriet Dyer was one of the stand out superstars for me of this years Edinburgh Fringe. She’s insightful, unique, peerless, extraordinary and… well, maybe a little unhinged.”- 4 Extra Stands Up, BBC Radio 4 Extra
A disability sketch show
by Jack Carroll and Pete Selwood
From Britain’s Got Talent and Live at the Apollo stand-up Jack Carroll and New Yorkshire Comic of the Year Pete Selwood comes a brand new show to be performed at Blizzard before touring the country.
Poking fun at the problems Jack and Pete deal with in their daily lives, whilst also mocking society’s difficulty in dealing with disabled issues. A multi-media show with jokes, sketches, fashion photos and film – this one is not to be missed.
Catch both of these shows at Gullivers on Monday 13th January 2020.
