Edward Roworth
Edward Roworth is a prop-based absurdist. Bonus content can be unlocked with in-game currency.
“One of the most creative and polished absurdist [Jonny Collins specifically has] ever had the pleasure to work with.” – Blizzard Comedy
“One of those acts that sounds shit.” – Blizzard Comedy, one sentence later.
“Secret operations are essential in war; upon them the army relies to make its every move.” – Sun Tzu
and Nathan Virica
Northwest-based. Probably the second most famous comedian from Harrogate behind Maisie Adam. By default, if nothing else. Formerly a musician of 15 years. Then he hit 30, realised he couldn’t be arsed anymore & decided to do comedy instead. The comedy equivalent of Elvis Presley’s last bowel movement; morbid, horrible, difficult to sit through, darkly hilarious and performed by a great artist.
2022 8 Mile Comedy Competition Runner-up
“This guy! Strongly recommend – he blew the roof off my night! Get him booked.” – Jord Lozman (Lairy Laughs Comedy)
“In one of my many sessions panning for gold, I found some. Nathan is a bit of a goldmine!” – Ben Chambers (SMR Radio)
“Comedy with a cutting political edge that hits its targets.” – Simeon Word (Lancashire Post)
“Hilarious. A natural talent in high demand.” – Kevin O’Brien (Gold at the Bijou Cinema)
“Darkly hilarious (and) incredibly talented. After 15 years performing music, Nathan has turned his hand to comedy and is already crushing it.” – Blizzard Comedy
“Nathan Virica has become a familiar face and fan favourite at our nights. With his dark jokes and dry delivery, you really don’t know what he’s going to say next.” – Stephen McGuffie (Cool Hand Comedy)
with team captain Kirstie Summers
Kirstie Summers is the administrative force behind Manchester’s multi-award-nominated safe space stand up show, Blizzard Comedy. She is now a regular team captain on their monthly livestreamed panel show, Broadcast Avalanche, known for breaking character, straying wildly off topic and bursting into unhinged rants.
“Too attractive” – Chris
“So cool and a fucking babe. It is my goal to be more like her, and you should all do the same” – Jonny
“The punk older sister everyone needs” – Into the Red
“Eminently wise and fuckable druid from Luton” – Bobbie Jones
and
Kath Marvelley
Kath is funny, warm and theatrical Aussie storyteller comedian and improviser. She is a popular tamer of audiences and snakes.
Besides her stand up which she has performed in Edinburgh and Manchester fringes, you can catch her in Improv on Demand and Jen’s and Frens (all female improv) and has an upcoming podcast with Dru Miles.
“Charismatic, confident, warm, assured and very funny” – Picturehouse Comedy
“Kath is instantly engaging, likeable and a joy to watch” – Blizzard Comedy
“Kath’s stage presence is super warm (much like the hemisphere she originated from) but don’t let that catch you off guard. Kath’s set is full of really sharp punchlines and gags that leave many seasoned professionals lacking in comparison” – Blizzard Comedy
and Saeth Wheeler
Saeth is the queer radical socialist you’ve been warned about; when they’re not trying to deliver the future that liberals want, you can find them scribbling scripts and performing stand-up on various stages around Yorkshire.
“Saeth is a brilliant comic whose friendly and likeable stage presence only serves to hide their pointed fury at the world and themselves.” – Bradford Fringe
“Almost problematically gay” – their mum
with team captain Bobbie Jones
A combination of Dad jokes and Daddy issues, Bobbie-Ann Jones is one of the funniest prediabetic queers ever to come from Walsall. She was the first female Head Writer for the Birmingham Footnotes Comedy Society from 2015-2016. Bobbie has gigged throughout the UK and she is a well-known face on the north-west comedy circuit- she hosted Lolshevism Comedy Club in Leeds from 2018 until 2020. She is currently a Team Captain on Blizzard Comedy’s Broadcast Avalanche. As of April 2022, Bobbie is also a Quantum Leopard Comedy Competition winner.
“One to Watch” – Funny Women 2017
“Obvious talent” – The Student Newspaper 2018
“An absolute powerhouse of a comedian” – Blizzard Comedy 2022
Quantum Leopard Competition Winner – April 2022
with host Jonny Collins
Jonny Collins is an aggressively inclusive Non-Binary comedian, Jonny pulls no punches yet makes everyone feel welcome and represented in their thought provoking, and well constructed deconstructions of gender, sexuality and politics. With radical leftist ideals and a fast and furious delivery style, Jonny Collins is a favourite of socialist, anarchists, feminists (of the trans inclusive variety), and queer activists alike.
“Jonny is a force of nature on stage. A whirlwind of hilarity with a unique viewpoint, they energy and passion personified.” – XS Malarkey
“Jonny Collins is deceptively rapid-fire, with a gag rate that would shame most one-line merchants. They can bring a simmer to a boil with ease, and make a huge mess of your kitchen.” – James Ross (Quantum Leopard)
