Join us at Gullivers on Monday 22nd July for some of the most exciting new shows the fringe is likely to see this year, featuring…

Jain Edwards

Surrealist stand-up Jain Edwards is bringing her unique brand of comedy to a club near you. Cursed with extreme likeability and suffering under the weight of “being an absolute sweetheart”, Jain struggles on.

“Pleasingly offbeat” – The Guardian
“An excellent exercise in inventive, immensely creative comedy” – The Skinny
“Edwards succeeds with levity, charm and a knowing smile” – The List
“Get in early to catch a rising talent” – Short Com

and Leslie Ewing-Burgesse

Leslie Ewing-Burgesse is cursed. Yeah. She is. Like really, reaaaaalllly cursed. Absolutely riddled with curses. Yeahhhhhhh. Hahaha, uh oh, right? Hard to know what to say about that. Oh, another thing. Yeah, there’s more. You’re probably cursed too. Yeah, sorry. Yeah, it’s pretty bad news. But! There’s nothing that brings Leslie more joy than chatting about the weird and the spooky, and she has a sneaking suspicion that she can solve this…

Leslie Ewing-Burgesse is a very silly, very existential, very tall, variably green-haired, normal-level* Canadian comedian living in North London.

*hair colour fades; laziness sometimes prevails

** for a Canadian

“Funny and insightful, she is one to keep an eye on as she inevitably rises through the comedy scene.” – The Only Culture Vulture
“… her slightly chaotic nature and gimmicks made it feel like I was down the pub with a friend telling me some stories.” – carlymay.co.uk

As always, our tickets are free to book at point of sale, although we will be taking donations by both cash and card on the door, which will be entirely split between performers.
